Hello, person. I’m a fella who fancies squirrels, cartoons, a good JRPG, all things Nintendo, root beer, cereal and collecting random things. My page is about music, art, animations (and more, probably).

Backing up my old songs...

Posted by Bertn1991 - January 29th, 2018

I've been digging through the Bertn Vault to gather all of my songs that still exist and organize them in one place. The earliest surviving music goes all the way back to 2007! They're quite terrible and sloppily written, but so special to me. I'd hate to lose them. Maybe as a joke I'll upload one of my mastapieces from '07.

Is this some sort of sick joke? Where are the words, Bertn? I can't read any of that music! I bet it's an insult. I bet if I translate that "music" language you posted, I'll find out that it's actually you mocking my love for prune-filled doughnuts and "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!" by the Vengaboys. You may be a crafty one, Mr. Bunn, but not craftier than Google Translate! MWA HA HA HA HA... fuck. There's no "Music to English" option. Well, you win this round, but don't think I'm not shaking my fist angrily at you! ...cause I am! *shakes fist angrily*

Aspersions on my asparagus! This is no joke. And trust me, you don't wanna hear what this sounds like. It would make you envy snakes and white cats with blue eyes.

Doughnuts? Good. Prunes? Delicious. Prune doughnuts? Perhaps you're on to something!

Yes, I am Mr. Bunn, just like my coffee maker. And I'm one letter away from being Mr. Bunny. A bunny who drinks coffee? Maybe that's the Energizer Bunny's secret. Never buying their batteries again. #Exposed.

Nay, there is no translator for bad music. TEE HEE HEE!!

First game for 4iF is going to be Monster Party. I will beat it this time, because I own it this time. None of that "two-day rental. must return it Sunday night or feel the wrath of the excessive late fee" bullshit that thwarted many-a completions for me in the NES and SNES era. Man, the music for the second level is garbage. Bert may be stronger and easier to use, but I can sneak up behind a hoppin' boppin' stick of fried delight and bat the calories right out of him!

Good 'ol Monster Party. I have a friend who absolutely adores the game. She likes to brag about beating it a bunch. What a bag of jerks.

And yes, I remember the horrors of video game rental. I used to go to Blockbuster with my brother and rent SNES games. That was back before the internet was as all-encompassing. All we had to go on was word of mouth (mostly word of Daniel, our cousin) and pretty artwork. "Hey, if it's got explosions and a rad guy or gal facing precisely away from them, it's gotta be at least half good, right?" Of course not. I was always the friend who got stuck with the sucky third-party controller with bizarrely loud buttons and mushy D-pad.

I've not played much Monster Party. I certainly haven't gotten far. It's a shame, too, since that's such a weird and interesting game. I do remember Bert, though. Tee hee hee hee, he's named like me ^-^
