I don't know what a hotdog has to do with the rain, but the song itself is pleasant <3

I like this song quite a bit. It's simple, smooth and sweet. It's nothing flashy or over-the-top, but soft music to relax to. It's the kind of song you have playing in the background while reading a good book. There were a few sour notes here and there, but overall it was very well performed. Your guitar skills are great, and certainly better than mine. Anyways, keep up the excellent work!

I gave you a follow :-)

ConnorDeVaux responds:

Yeah these are all very old hahaha, and the hot dog is just i dunno... I put food with all my music lol thanks I like your music too, very diverse!

Hmm, I kinda like it!

It's got a gritty, fuzzy kinda sound to it I really like. It's so surfer. I didn't like the beginning the first time listening, but after listening a few more time for review purposes, I do like it. Let's see, the drums are good and very fitting. The guitar is also pretty good, if a tad on the sloppy side. Again, I think that actually makes it sound better for a song like this. Also, much respect for using real instruments. You don't see that as much here on New Grounds. So yeah, I am a fan!

I'm not a stoner, but I can still get down to this. Cool stuff :-)

lokimiah1 responds:

Thanks, man! I know the beginning isn't exactly pleasant to listen to, but I felt that it was the best way to start the song off. It makes the *actual* intro with the count-in and such sound a bit better by comparison.

And hey, if you like this song, be sure to check out my other rock songs! They're a bit different than this, 'cause I didn't have a fuzzpedal when I recorded them, but if you like one of my songs, you'll probably like a few others!

This is actually really good!

When I saw short length and the three-star rating, I thought it would be very average, but this is actually very well-put-together! The synth pianos sound great, as do the drums and overall rhythm. It got a good sound to it. I loved the little transition effects, too. The chords are also good. Overall a good, polished song. I guess if I have one qualm, it is that it's too short, and plus there's no ending. At least make it loop!

Well-done! Added to favorites :D

Surkol responds:

Thanks! I really appreciate it. You are too kind. My thoughts are: I've always liked the 00:14-00:21 part the most. The last part is pretty boring and nothing is really happening. I don't know how I feel about the first 10sec, maybe a somewhat unnecessary part and it doesn't really get me psyched. I think the beginning should be more like a tv series pilot that shows you what to expect.

Not bad at all...

I think it's a well-structured song with some good melodies and bass lines. Some of the synths sound a little basic compared to others, but the parts where many instruments were all playing together sound nice. At least one of the synths could've benefited from a bit of reverb I think. Don't get it twisted though, this is definitely a good song still. You can tell the person who made is talented! Three stars is a good rating!

If I was Geometry Dash player, I'd totally use this! ;D

Thanks for the feedback! I bet that Sytrus threw me off a bit ;)

Thanks for the review!

Ooh, not bad :D

I for one enjoy it. I like how it doesn't really have a genre. It's its own thing pretty much. There's many different parts, but they all fit together nicely. It's not the grandest song ever made by any means, and some of the melodies seem slightly random, but for what it is it's lovely. Keep it up!

Well done :-)

WasderNoob-MatiasSWA responds:

Thanks for the feedback man!

I must say, the title is perfectly fitting!

This makes me think of something straight out of Invader Zim. It's so sinister, and the beat is so cool. The synths are great, the explosion-like sounds are powerful, and the drums are nice and punchy. It's got a good sound going on. The pan effects are nice as well. Simply a great piece of music. I guess you could say it's... cool as pie -_-

Well-done. I added to favorites <3

Coolasp1e responds:

Thank you <3

Hmm, not too shabby...

I liked it, I really did. I listened a couple of times. When I started, I thought it sounded a bit typical of the genre, but as it went on I really began to like it. I think it has its own special charm about it that makes it stand out. While it's not the most grandiose or ambitious musical piece ever written, it doesn't have to be. For what it is, I think it's great. The synths work well and sound good, the drums are nice and punchy, and overall the piece is simply well put together in my opinion. I guess my only criticism is the ending. I think this would've worked better as a loop. Other than that, it's a perfectly fine tune to listen to :-)

Very nice work. Added to favorites <3

Coolasp1e responds:

Aww, thanks for your kind and critical feedback. Honestly, I tried making something that would stand out, and not really try to "match" the genre, so your feedback made me know I accomplished my goal!

Thanks once again :D

Goodness, you've done it again!

So much respect for you right now. You've taken what was an okay tune and made it a great one. What can I say? You worked your FlipFlop 90s magic and did another fantastic arrangement. It's got that crisp, cool Sega aesthetic definitely fitting for a cutesy song like "Ice Water." The choice of instruments is great and very fitting for a song like this, and the changes you made with your version are welcomed as well. All in all, stellar stuff, man. I loved hearing it.

Er, not to get too personal or anything, but I had a bit of a crumby day, and listening to this cheered me up tremendously. Thanks for making my day a little brighter :-)

Feels like 1991 to me.

You've really made my simply little tune the best it could possible be. You truly did an outstanding job on this one in bringing out that crisp, Genesis / Mega Drive sound. It really takes me back, man. When it comes to mixing and mastering, you've got me beat by a mile. Thank you so, so much for making this arrangement. I loved it <3

Fantastic work :-)

It should be mentioned that I don't like this genre of music very much, but regardless, here is my review...

Okay, there's things I like and things I don't like. Firstly, from a purely technical stand point, it's very well-made; it's well-mixed and well-mastered. It has a sort of professional quality to it. It's an excellently crafted piece of music, again, from a technical point of view. Now, the overall sound, to me personally, is kinda grating, and the airhorn at the end was kinda stupid. I really don't like this style of music much. It's kind of unpleasant to listen to, which is a shame because the melodies and chord work in this song are great. I will say this, the parts toward the middle and end were fantastic, if a little grating. I think it's a great piece, but I don't like the sound.

Those are just my thoughts though. No disrespect. Congrats on being front-paged :^)
