Hello, person. I’m a fella who fancies squirrels, cartoons, a good JRPG, all things Nintendo, root beer, cereal and collecting random things. My page is about music, art, animations (and more, probably).

Mighty No. 9 for Wii U :p

Posted by Bertn1991 - January 6th, 2022

I saw this at my local used game shop and thought I'd give it a fair shake, putting its questionable development aside. The trailers are a cringe festival, but I always thought the gameplay itself looked fun. Maybe it'll be The Phantom Menace, where it's a pretty good time, but people set their expectations a bit too high. I don't know, we'll see.

Also, livin' that sweet Wii U life~

I watched a playthrough back when it was new and it wasn't really awful. It just felt like a sterilized Mega Man. No real charm to the levels. None of that "if you got that weapon before attempting this level, then playing it will change by..." sort of thing.

When the KS was announced, I didn't trust it. Specifically, I didn't trust Inafune. I found him to be undeservedly arrogant and shifty and warned people not to back the game. To be fair, I still wouldn't mind seeing a proper anime series made for Red Ash. Wouldn't trust a game of it, either, though.
