May 21 is a sacred day to me. As a little kid, I had a special day where I did nothing but watch movies from our VHS library (I am the old). It was almost like a holiday. That concept sort of evolved as I got older. Since 2011 or so, it's been a day where I celebrate art, literature, and just creative media stuff, especially fantasy. It's a nice time to reflect on the past and the art that means the most to me. Sometimes I play a video game all day or marathon a show or film series. Sometimes I read a bunch, and sometimes I look at my own creations from over the years. It's a good time to look back as well as to the future.
Today I'm playing Halo 3 for the first time, since I've fallen in love with the series all over again. I never played anything past Halo 2 about a million years ago, so it's been fun revisiting the series after so long.Ā
The point of May 21 is a little vague, maybe, but it's important to me. Happy 21st, doods!
