I've only ever used an XB360 controller for PC gaming. I own an actual XB360... that is still in the box. Never took it out. Nice controllers though. I'd put'em in my top five alongside the Switch Pro controller, the GCN controller, the SNES controller, and the N64 controller. I'd include something from Sony, because they all fit well enough and function properly, but they also have no personality whatsoever. Like having an old Nintendo controller that's been lobotomized.
The 360 controller was darn fine. I even added translucent red analog sticks back in the day. Yep, it got a lot of use and a lot of love. I think we're of like minds when it comes to controllers. The Switch Pro is probably my favorite controller, though the GameCube has my favorite face button layout. The diamond layout from the SNES is fantastic, but I think they were really on to something with the GameCube. And lastly, the N64 controller is good, in my opinion. It looks weird but works perfectly fine for the games made for it. I've used my Nintendo Switch N64 for hundreds of hours, and it's held up wonderfully.
I don't care for Sony controllers. In the words of Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that."
