My fellow Americans...

Posted by Bertn1991 - November 6th, 2021

Hello, my fellow Americans.

We need to unify, with unity and dignity. I believe in the unity of our nation and soul of our democracy that we will work together for the future of our unity, create jobs, and uphold our Constitution. In this moment, the honor of this nation will stand as a beacon to the world of our integrity and resolve, because there's nothing we can't do when we do it together and create millions of jobs. This virus has killed more than 11 trillion dollars as we work to overcome this challenge of hope, unity, faith and our American resolve, but this nation and our American unity will fight to break down the barriers and seek truth and unity and create millions of jobs. The respect of our country and jobs is the hope that the future, the heart and soul of this country, and this virus, will not stop our Constitution when do it together. Together in this moment, the history of our war and the American people of this nation and our democracy will strengthen this virus and the unity of this war and create 3.4 trillion jobs. Unity integrity dignity honor together our democracy Constitution resolve faith hope this country American people when we do it together. The troops.

Thank you, and may God bless our unity.

a speech to rival that of abraham lincoln himself

Why does this sound like it was written by an AI?
Yes, plenty of fancy terms being thrown around, unity, democracy, trillions of jobs (for billions of people, what?) But honestly, if you look closer at it, then this just comes across as a mad cry for salvation.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the spirit of this message. The American people, the world at large, needs to come together in body and mind to fight back against the tide of uncertainty that Covid has summoned. But how can we do that when it's not Covid that divides us, but rather that which it has exposed?

Autocratic forces all across the globe have used this pandemic to further their own agendas, either to raise unrest amongst their allies and destabilize their nations to better grasp hold of it, or to crack down on personal liberties which has nothing to do with Covid, but are just ways to subjugate their fellow citizens.

But most of all, it has revealed that many of us have no clue wtf we're even talking about. The human condition to trust itself over everything else, even its own loving family and loyal friends has allowed a spread of misinformation unlike anything ever seen before in the history of humanity. We can now more justly say than ever before: Who can you trust anymore?

As men and women sit behind TV sets and computer screens, discussing, debating, arguing, preaching and ranting all the same about what is what, who can you trust? Can you even trust yourself anymore?

What we need is unity, yes... But to get that, we need to reclaim trust. And there's dangerously little of that to go around anymore. Forget running out of oil, water or food, we've already run out of trust!

It's humanity's greatest crisis today. And honestly... I don't have any answers to give. The only thing I can tell you is to figure out who your real friends are. Who has given the most to you in your life? Is it your family? Is it your neighbor? Is it the preacher on the podium trying to steer you right as they saw fit, or the good samaritan who gave you a quarter expecting nothing in return except perhaps a smile?

Be careful who you listen to, be even more careful of the gifts you recieve. But if someone proves to you they are worth trust, then never let them go.

Sounding like a vapid politician was the goal here, to speak at length and ultimately say nothing. I do appreciate the thoughtful response~

lol i love ur plok icon- great game

Should've been the last DLC fighter in Smash ;)

Full disclosure, I just used a list of overused words and phrases from politicians to make word salad. Unity, integrity, big numbers, our democracy, create jobs, dignity, together, our Constitution, so on. You know, when people speak for 20 minutes and say nothing.

@Bertn1991
I guess I ate the onion, huh? XD

this is literally just the same sentence being rephrased different times with mostly the same buzzwords, and that (sadly) represents the state of our politics for the past 5 years

that being said this is genius
