I'm a trillionaire, y'all

Posted by Bertn1991 - December 15th, 2024

This is a real banknote from Zimbabwe in southern Africa as it was suffering from some of the worst inflation ever seen. They have since switched to other currencies, such as the euro and U.S. dollar. I can't buy anything with it, but it's still pretty neat. There's also a 100 trillion dollar note, but come on, who needs that much money? I'm not greedy. I'll live in austerity with my measly ten trillion dollars, thank you very much.

Daaamn!

britannica did a video on africa once, apparantly it's so inflated that they can't give proper change - so they give candies instead of pennies, yes really

Found the video, if you're interested

You know, with inflation and the economy and the yadda yadda, it's becoming more of a struggle each and every day to put IBC Root Beer on the kitchen table. Sure would be nice if a generous and very wealthy friend who is super cool and talented was able to help me with my beverage woes. *puppy dog eyes*

Whenever my Piggly Wiggly starts accepting defunct currencies from southern Africa, expect a large shipment of IBC. "Ten trillion root beers please."
