I remember being a kid at the table with the family. Paw-Paw always sat at the head of the table, with Maw-Maw sitting next to him and everyone else seated wherever. All us youngins were carrying on and giggling at who knows what. We were joking about beans, and Paw-Paw started that famous song, “Beans, beans, they’re good for your heart, the more you eat, the more you—”
“Gene,” Maw-Maw interrupted, cutting him off with a look.
Paw-Paw laughed and finished, “—the more you smile.”
That always stuck with me. It's one of my favorite grandparent memories. I like Paw-Paw's version best.

I ordered Mario & Luigi: Brothership, so I thought I'd replay this childhood favorite since it's on Switch. Well, I also own the original cartridge, but the Switch's GBA emulation is simply the best way to play it in my book. Anyways, just having such a lovely time revisiting this one. The writing and humor are top-notch, and though it's on the easy side, it's still barrels of fun. My heart is happy.

There's a neat computer application called Kiwix that allows offline access to Wikipedia and other helpful resources. It's ideal for places where censorship or lack of Internet is an issue, but it's also just rad to have. You can download the top 1 million articles from Wikipedia, which is only about 39 gigabytes if you can believe it, or you can download all 6,958,481 English Wikipedia articles if you're an insane person. Then you can look stuff up on Wikipedia even with no Internet connection. The hyperlinks work, the search bar works, and in the words of the great philosopher Todd Howard, "It just works." Put it on your laptop or phone when you travel so you can read all about the development of Shrek 2 without ever asking for a Wi-Fi password. Articles won't reflect recent changes or remain totally up-to-date, but for most things, it's a perfectly fine wealth of information to have. Very cool.
